Estonia is a small country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe with a population of just 1.3 million. If you're looking to get off the beaten track a little, this is a great place to visit. Tallinn's medieval old town from the Late Middle Ages is in great condition, with the city walls and towers almost completely intact. It's one of the best preserved medieval old towns in Europe. It's ex soviet occupied so there are still traces of the Soviet era to be seen. The people are friendly and the countryside is picture perfect.
